INITIATIVES
Bike Friendly City: Lodi
Bike Lodi's mission is to educate and advocate for the safe use of bicycles as a viable and sustainable means of transportation and enjoyment. Bike Friendly City: Lodi is the first of three campaigns that Bike Lodi is developing to promote the city as a friendly place for cycling. Bike Lodi is placing 200 yards signs, in English and Spanish, throughout the community, as well as strategically placing banners, bus shelter signs, social media posts and ads, with this message.

Bike Valet
Leave your car at home and hop on your bicycle! Head down to the Lodi Farmers Market on Thursday evenings and park your bike at the FREE Bike Lodi Valet located on the corner of Oak and School Streets. We also host popular Bike Lodi Valets at the 4th of July Pancake Breakfast and at Row by Row (formerly ZinFest) each year. Please contact us if you'd like a Bike Lodi Valet at your event.

Bike Routes
Bike Lodi has created 20+ routes for your riding pleasure throughout Lodi's wine country region! Pick from winery destination rides, Delta excursions, or head to the Sierra foothills. Downloadable maps to RidewithGPS and Garmin are available. The Visit Lodi office can also provide you with a printed map of 10 popular local rides with hotel information.

Green LineWhen converted into green space, Lodi’s unused Union Pacific spur line will become a valuable community rails-to-trails facility for cyclists and pedestrians, as well as a new safe route to schools. Through an
$80,000 grant secured by Bike Lodi, the City of Lodi completed a feasibility study for the Greenline rails-to-trails project. |
Bike AdvocatesBike Lodi advocates for grant funding and local government support of bike lanes and and bike/pedestrian friendly transportation policies. Come join us at our next Bike Lodi meeting, generally held at 6pm on the last Monday of every month at the Lodi Public Library, and get involved with advocating for bicycle tourism, bicycle safety, and bicycle related events! (Due to COVID restrictions, Bike Lodi's monthly meetings are currently held via Zoom)

Bike RacksBike Lodi is committed to encouraging cycling in Lodi's historic downtown by donating bicycle racks and other amenities in strategic locations throughout the district. If you enjoy the bicycle racks in town and you'd like to see more, Bike Lodi is a 501(c)(3) and accepts donations.

Themed Rides
Every fall Bike Lodi organizes the Sandhill Crane Ride. Cyclists meet in Woodbridge and head out to the Sandhill Crane Sanctuary for a private viewing of hundreds of these spectacular migrating birds as they land for the evening. The riders are guided by Bike Lodi volunteers on this 16 mile ride. Check our calendar for many other local rides.

Bike Rodeo
The World of Wonders Science Museum, San Joaquin County Public Health, and Bike Lodi held its first Bike Rodeo in 2017. Young cyclists were taught road safety tips and guided through obstacle courses. Bike Lodi continues to host Bike Rodeos at local schools in the Lodi area! Please contact us if you'd like to have a Bike Rodeo at your school.
